I am 14, and have taken about a year of French. I have been to France a couple times before, and my dad often travels there. We were talking about my parents, my friend and i going this summer.
I want to go to be more surrounded by the language. My dad wants me to be able to spend time with a host family during the day, and be with my parents at night. He also wants it to be a smaller village where I can truly experience the culture. We usually go to Cannes, St. Tropez, or Paris.
Do you have any ideas on how we can truly experience the culture, without having to apply for one of those extensive pre-college summer programs that include housing?
I am open to any suggestions!
