Park Chan-wook’s role within Korean cinema, and his affect on western films?
Park Chan-wook is one of Korea’s most prestigious directors.
Backed by the likes of Quentin Tarantino who voted for him to win the
palme d’Or at the Cannes film festival for his film Oldboy.
Recently there has been talks of Parks Oldboy, being remade by America, predicted to be directed by Steven Speilberg with Will Smith as Oldboy.
This will end up being just one of many Korean films that have been remade by America.
