Broadways INGA SWENSON and RON HUSMANN sing “BY THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON”

Broadway Legends Inga Swenson and Ron Husmann portray Broadway Legends Nora Bayes and her husband and stage partner Jack Norworth, performing their signature number, Shine On Harvest Moon, a standard also written by Bayes and Norworth, in this sequence from Ziegfeld: The Man and His Women, the only film appearance which gave the Incomparable Ms. Swenson the opportunity to showcase her award-winning musical talents. Ms. Swenson made her Broadway debut in New Faces of 56, followed by The First Gentleman, costarring Walter Slezak, for which she received a Theatre World Award and a Variety Critics Poll Award. She received a Tony Award nomination and won The London Theatre Critics Award as Best Actress for her iconic role as Lizzie in Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidts 110 In The Shade, and a Tony-nomination for Baker Street. Her films include Advise & Consent, The Miracle Worker, The Betsy, television appearances include Richard Rodgers Androcles And The Lion, and she is perhaps best known for her role as housekeeper Gretchen Kraus on TVs Benson. The stalwart Mr. Husmann, a Tony nominee and Theatre World Award winner for Tenderloin, also starred on Broadway in All American, Lovely Ladies, Kind Gentlemen and Irene opposite Debbie Reynolds and Jane Powell, made his feature debut in Love Has Many Faces, starring with Lana Turner and Cliff Robertson [1965], and his television appearances include The Hallmark Hall of Fame [including The Music of Richard Rodgers, 1961], The Gershwin …

NEW MOON BLOGS: ASHLEY GREENE FROM NEW MOON ENJOYS THE HEAT OF ITALY The guys spent a few days in Italy filming some scenes for the movie. As you can see, Ashley Greene enjoyed the pool at the hotel where the New Moon cast was staying in Italy. Ashley, who spends her time with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, is spending a few days in Europe to film a few typical Mediterranean Sea scenes. Michael Arangano, Ashley’s boyfriend, came with her on this trip and after relaxing they all went out to pizza. THE GIRLS FROM NEW MOON CHAT LIKE BEST FRIENDS Dakota, Kristen and Ashley have become fast friends thanks to the filming of the movie. The three New Moon stars have spent so much time together on the set that now they want to spend their free time together too. Here are some photos that were taken at a break during the filming where we can see how calm they are enjoying a good conversation. It seems that they are enjoying the experience so much that they even want to take photos together, just like good friends do. The friend are shown here on a roof, which will surly be one of the scenes where part of the movie’s action sequences are set. Siskel & Ebert bventertainment.go.com Temptress Moon is a 1996 Chinese film directed by Chen Kaige. It was jointly produced by the Shanghai Film Studio and the Taipei-based Tomson Films. The film saw Chen reuniting with Leslie Cheung and Gong Li who had previously worked with him in his breakout international hit Farewell My Concubine Temptress Moon premiered at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival, where it was in competition for the Palme d’Or that eventually went to Mike Leigh’s Secrets & Lies. Despite its international profile, however, the film was banned by state authorities in Mainland China.
