Known as The French Riviera to English speaking folk, but also known as the Côte d’Azur, it is the Mediterranean corner of France lying on the south east coastline of the country. The coastline is one of the first modern resort areas, first used as a winter health resort for the British upper class around the end of the 18th century. It is a place where meetings are held, negotiations hashed out, and deals made.
