French Family Holidays – Why go To France?

Being just a short hop across the channel, France is the ideal destination for your family holiday. In this article, I put to you a few attractions that will cater to both the adults and children in your family alike.

Disneyland Paris
This has got to be top of your children’s (and possibly your) list when it comes to activities for your holiday. It is no mystery that ever since the first Disneyland opened in 1955, it has been a land of wonder for children, you only need to look at the plaque at the entrance to confirm this: “Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy”. The park is full of rides and attractions to keep even the fussiest child happy and entertained.

Adults are not left out of the equation though. Some of the hairier rides will bring out the excitable kid in you and there are bars and restaurants in which to take time out if you are feeling a little overwhelmed by all the excitement.

Paris
For some reason, the Parisians love carousels and so do children. There are literally hundreds of carousels scattered around Paris for the kids to ride. Paris is also host to Aquaboulevard, a large aquatic park with swimming pools, wave pools, slides and other recreational activities such as golf, tennis and bowling.

For the adults, Paris is heaven, find food, fine wine and great site seeing. Who doesn’t want to see the Eiffel tower and the Champs-Elysees?

Beaches
Kids love the beach, they love swimming and they love the sand. France has hundreds if not thousands of world class beaches. The best of these being on the south west and south coasts where the weather is a little warmer. Whether you enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the beaches in Cannes or prefer to soak in a little history at the beaches of Normandy, there is a beach for everyone.

When you couple all of these advantages with the fact that France is only an hour away by ferry, what other reason do you need to get over there with the family?

Mumbai, May 27(ANI): After making an appearance in their sleekest shoes at the Cannes Film Festival, the Bachchan family made a humble presence on their way to an Indian temple. Amitabh, along with his celebrity son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya, started their barefoot journey around 2:00 in the morning. Hundreds of fans came out to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars. The first family of Bollywood was after a little divine intervention for their upcoming flick.

The Guiness world record to be set, will have members of one family in key roles. lead actor,director, producer, screenwriter, lead actress,film editor, production design and director of photography. the film will be from nigeria the amata dynasty of film makers, and must enter for internationally acknowledged film festivals, like cannes, berlin toronto, newyork film festivals and even the oscars. the amata family is made up of multiple award winning film makers from nigeria, fred amata, zack amata, ruke amata, jeta amata, viefe amata, oreva amata,stephanie amata agatha amata.we are poised to tell the intriguing story of john ifoghale amata, in a movie of same title performed by his children and grand children, so it is movie about an amata, starring amatas, produced by an amata, directed by an amata, written by an amata. it is our guess that a wotk of art of this nature has never been done before in world film making

Any ideas for a family visiting Villefranche on the French Riviera?

On July 27, my family will have a port call to Villefranche for the day.

We are interested in beaches, biking and possibly snorkeling.

Can a kind former cruise passenger, or someone familiar with the reason offer a few suggestions?

Best Mediterranean Beaches for Family Fun

If you are planning a family getaway to Europe and you love the beach, perhaps Mediterranean beaches are the best option for you. The Mediterranean Sea divides Europe from Africa and makes the boundary for over a dozen nations such as Greece, Italy, France, and Spain. Countries like Israel, Egypt, Morocco, and Cyprus are pretty popular with the tourists and showcase the Mediterranean’s exotic beaches.

Nature lovers say that the Mediterranean is not just a place but in fact it is a state of mind. The mild climate in the Mediterranean and its hot dry summers makes for perfect beach weather. The deep blue waters are accentuated with the warm hospitality of the Mediterranean people who are well known as being passionate with a real zest for life.

Italy, France and Corsica have some of the most beautiful beaches. Cannes is one of the best-known cities of the French Riviera and is well-known for its sandy beaches which are animated all year round. Corsica’s 600 miles coastline comprises a number of secluded coves and deserted shores. St Restitude, located near Calvi north-west, is best for a peaceful hideaway. It has a secluded small beach with clean water, soft sand, and adorable pine woods in plenty. There is also Palombaggia Beach, Golfe di Sogno Beach, and Santa-Giulia Beach near the couth-east Porto-Vecchio, an upmarket resort town situated on a rocky hill. The town is very popular among the tourists for its beaches, cafes, restaurants, yacht marina, lively streets, and a wide range of accommodation. The best beach in this town is Palombaggia Beach, a perfect crescent of white sand that is sandwiched between the blue sea and dune clusters.

One of best beaches in Italy is Terracina, situated at 1.5 hours south-west of Rome towards Naples. The Terracina beach is among the best beaches on Italy’s mainland and is very long, wide with plenty of soft sand to offer its visitors. Cap de Begur, situated nearly 40 mins from Girona offers plentiful Spanish culture both old and new together with a collection of beautiful small beaches such as Aiguablava, the nudist (families beware) L’Illa Roja, and the family-oriented Llanfranc and Platja de Raco.
