Thai director Weerasethakul wins Cannes’ Palme d’Or
Cannes, May 24 : Bangkok-born director Apichatpong Weerasethakul won the Palme d’Or Sunday for best film of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival for his movie about animism in the Thai jungle and a man celebrating his past lives.

Cannes Film Festival Day Twelve: Palm d’Or
The final day of the 2008 Cannes Film Festival saw the winners being honored. Benicio del Toro won the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Che Guevara in Steven Soderbergh's 'Che.' French director Laurent Cantet won the prestigious Palme d'Or for his film 'The Class.'
