Pitt diz que procura explorar novos tipos no cinema Longe do típico personagem galã e de boa índole de Hollywood, Brad Pitt interpreta em Bastardos Inglórios um tipo vingativo e cruel, disposto a cumprir sua missão de assassinar oficiais nazistas a qualquer custo. Não deixa de ser um papel mais comprometido com a justiça, mas suas atitudes eo fato de usar as mesmas armas do inimigo levantaram algumas questões durante a entrevista em Cannes. “Foi um dos papéis mais complexos que já fiz, pois como defender a idéia de justiça dele (o personagem) sem concordar com seus métodos?”, questionou Pitt. “Uma coisa está ligada à outra, e numa guerra essas questões éticas são complicadas”, completou. O ator disse que Aldo Reine é o exemplo de personagem que ele vem procurando para interpretar. “Atualmente me interessa algo novo, que tenha frescor e eu não tenha explorado antes”.
