STUDY ABROAD: Berlin vs South of France?
I speak French decently and was thinking about learning German, or becoming fluent in French. It looks like its Berlin or Cannes/Nice for next year – I can’t decide honestly. Any input / opinions? Besides weather, is there much to compare for nightlife/culture/locals?

For history, there’s nothing to be Berlin. But for culture, you just can’t beat the French, so it’s a coin toss.
I would go for France, but that’s just me. I don’t know enough about either culture to make an educated decision.
Since you already know some French, it might be best to become fluent in that.
Either way, though, I’m sure it will be a great experience and I admire anyone with enough courage to study for an extended time in another country. Good luck!
south of France, don’t doubt!!!
I studied abroad in central france and had a friend who studied abroad in Nice. She said it was the best 6 months of her life. I visited and that area of France is amazing. I don’t think you can pick wrong though, the experience of going abroad will be great at either place.
France is the best. Especially Nice and Cannes…however it is expensive. I lived in the south of france last year and it is FABULOUS. The fact that you have a jump start on the language helps, and the french have REALLY good food as well….aside from it being beautiful. Plus, German is ugly and coooold!
